Product Description
Vision Vitality TM contains many important nutrients which support the functioning of the eye. The carotenoids Lutein and Zeaxanthin, are concentrated in the macula of the eye. Individuals with diets rich in these nutrients have been shown to have a reduction in the incidence of macular degeneration. Lutein also significantly reduces sC5b-9, an inflammation marker involved in AMD (Tian, 2015). HIGHER PLASMA LEVELS OF LUTEIN AND ZEAXANTHIN ARE ASSOCIATED WITH LONGER TELOMERES - which are key indicators of longevity (Sen A, 2014) Serum lutein and zeaxanthin concentrations were most consistently related to better cognition in the whole population and in people over 100 years of age (Johnson, 2013). The anti-aging effects of lutein further include an increase in the gene expression of the important oxygen transporters (Serpeloni 2014). Taurine is essential for retina health. Research indicates that taurine is so important that deficiencies result in damage to retinal neurons: cone photoreceptors and retinal ganglion cells (Gaucher D, et al 2012). As a premier eye formula, Vision Vitality also contains effective concentrations of eye protecting anthocyanins, both in bilberry (36%) and C3G Complex (35%). MirtoSelect ® is a premier bilberry, which offers a broad spectrum of anthocyanins. C3G (Cyanidin-3-glucoside) is a powerful specific anthocyanin. Research in experimental animals indicates that long term administration of C3G can both reduce photoreceptor damage and improve scoptopic vision (vision under low lights).(Lee SH, et al 2014). C3G and other black rice extract components, may also inhibit retinal disease caused by endothelium reticulum stress. (Tanaka J, et al 2013) and light induced damage (Tanaka J, et al 2011). Delphinidins inhibit photoreceptor cell death by visible light (Tanaka J, et al 2013). * *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
